Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created by marketplace activity, and technical information needed to run the service.
- Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider, and account status.
- Seller and buyer profile information, including saved addresses, display name, location, and shipping preferences.
- Listing information, including titles, descriptions, prices, photos, platform, condition, quantity, postage cost, and item details.
- Marketplace activity, including saved items, cart items, orders, returns, reviews, reports, support notes, and seller fulfilment updates.
- Messages between buyers and sellers, including image attachments and safety signals used to detect off-platform payment or contact attempts.
- Payment and shipping metadata from providers such as Stripe and EasyPost. We do not store full card numbers.
- Device and usage information, such as browser type, app version, approximate diagnostics, analytics events, and crash information when enabled.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts, listings, carts, saved items, orders, returns, and reviews.
- To help buyers and sellers communicate, complete purchases, arrange shipping, and resolve support issues.
- To protect the marketplace by detecting fraud, abuse, unsafe content, and off-platform transaction attempts.
- To send transactional emails, such as order updates, message notifications, verification emails, and password reset emails.
- To improve reliability, performance, usability, analytics, and marketplace quality.
- To comply with legal, tax, safety, dispute, and platform requirements.
Payments And Shipping
Payments may be processed by Stripe or another configured payment provider. Payment providers process card, wallet, and payment method details under their own policies.Gamesbay stores only the information needed to connect a payment to an order, such as payment status, order totals, provider identifiers, and timestamps.
Shipping labels and rates may be processed by EasyPost or similar carriers and shipping providers. Address, parcel, rate, tracking, and label information may be shared with those providers to fulfil orders.
Firebase, Analytics, And App Services
Gamesbay uses Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and mobile app services. The Android app may use Firebase App Check, Firebase Analytics, or crash reporting where configured. The website may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. These tools help us secure, monitor, and improve the service.
Sharing Information
We share information only where needed to operate the marketplace, provide support, protect users, or meet legal obligations.
- Buyers and sellers may see information needed for a transaction, such as names, listing details, message content, order status, shipping addresses, reviews, and tracking details.
- Service providers may process information for hosting, authentication, storage, email, analytics, payments, shipping, security, and support.
- Administrators may review reports, messages, listings, users, orders, and reviews to operate and protect the marketplace.
- We may disclose information if required by law, to prevent harm, or to enforce marketplace rules.
Your Choices
- You can update profile information, profile images, saved addresses, listings, and seller preferences from your account screens.
- You can request password resets through the sign-in screen if you use email/password login.
- You can unsave items, remove cart items, edit listings, and manage order information where the product allows it.
- You can contact us to request account deletion, data access, or correction.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to operate the marketplace, maintain order records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service. Some records, such as orders, returns, reports, reviews, and audit events, may be retained after account deletion where necessary for safety, legal, accounting, or dispute reasons.
Children
Gamesbay is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards such as Firebase authentication, access controls, server-side APIs, storage rules, and moderation tooling. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong password and keep your account details private.
International Use
Gamesbay may be used internationally. Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as Gamesbay changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
